We are looking for short-term Natural Building Interns for JULY 2017! This is a free Natural Building Opportunity in Sweden, two hours north of Stockholm!
We are in the finishing phase of our natural house building project in Sweden and we have an opening for up to 3 volunteers for 1-3 weeks, starting on July 1 until July 21. We will be insulating the walls with straw. We will then plaster them both inside and outside, we will make our own clay mix using local soil, put siding on the outside and finish the floor of the roundwood loft in the inside. We would like you to come for at least a week and will be working around 5-6 hours per day to also have time to enjoy the area, go to the beach and relax!
Basic food will be provided and we will cook communally in rotation. For accommodation please bring your own tent that you can set up in a beautiful area right by a lake. We have a tipi that can be used as a hangout space and a sauna to relax after work. To secure your spot, we ask for a contribution of 1000 SEK/ 100 €, no matter if you come for one or for all 3 weeks.
We are looking for people who are excited to learn about building with natural materials on a real project. Prior building experience its not necessary but you need to be willing to do physical labour. A certain affinity to nature and an interest in crafts will be necessary.
